APA owns 100% of the 440km Roma to Brisbane Pipeline (RBP), which wasthe first natural gas pipeline commissioned in Australia (1969). The pipeline transports gas from the regional gas hub near Roma to markets in Brisbane and regional centres along the pipeline route. The pipeline has been fully looped from Roma to Ellengrove to meet the growing demand in the Brisbane market. The pipeline currently has firm transportation contracts in place for An approved Access Arrangement dated 28 March 2007 specifying the terms and conditions for gaining access to the RBP is in place until 2012. The current RBP tariff is as follows:
APA owns 100% of the 840km Carpentaria Gas Pipeline (CGP) in Queensland, which transports gas from Ballera in south west Queensland to the IPL fertiliser plant at Phosphate Hill, the BHP mine at Cannington (via the 110km 100% APT owned Cannington Lateral Pipeline) and the Mica Creek power station in Mt Isa. The first stage of capacity expansion occurred in December 2002, with the addition of a 1MW compressor at Morney Tank. A second stage of capacity expansion is scheduled for June 2009 with the addition of a 3MW Compressor at Davenport Downs. The CGP currently has contracts in place totalling 37 PJ/A, increasing An approved Access
